Petroleum Geology

In the field of oil and gas exploration and development, nuclear magnetic resonance core analysis has developed into a key technology that can directly measure oil, gas and water, and calculate formation porosity and permeability, especially for complex formations such as low porosity and low permeability.

Water content of crude oil is an important parameter in petroleum exploitation and petrochemical industry. It is the key data in oilfield production and oil trading. It is of great significance to the exploitation, dehydration, storage, transportation and sales of crude oil, as well as crude oil refining and processing. At present, distillation is still the main traditional method to measure the water content of crude oil in China. Compared with distillation, nuclear magnetic method has the advantages of simpler operation, no toxic chemical reagent, fast measurement speed, high measurement accuracy and good repeatability.
